GuideU Selected by Singapore Airlines’ Boeing 787 Fleet

: Apr 9, 2018 - : 9:42 am

Singapore Airlines has decided that its new Boeing 787-10 fleet will be fitted with Lufthansa Technik’s GuideU 1000-Series  emergency floor path marking system.

The emergency floor path marking system will be installed on a total of 49 aircraft.

Singapore Airlines already relies on GuideU for its  Airbus A350 fleet.

“We are delighted that Singapore Airlines has decided to install  GuideU in its new Boeing 787 aircraft,” said Torben Biehl, Head of  Product Development for GuideU at Lufthansa Technik. “GuideU with its

highly individual design options goes beyond the pure functionality  of an emergency system. Not only is it the world’s flattest and  lightest floor path marking system, it is also totally  maintenance-free.”

The next-generation GuideU 1000-Series is a non-electrical floor  path marking system, that makes use of photoluminescent strips to guide  passengers to the exits if cabin lighting fails.
