A Boeing B737-8 MAX Full Flight Simulator (FFS), manufactured by Turkish company Havelsan and operated by Turkish Airlines, has achieved European EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) Level D certification.

This is the second time that Havelsan is attaining EASA Level D Certification for a B737-8 MAX Simulator. In May this year, the first B737 MAX FFS manufactured by the company and located in the Turkish Airlines Flight Training Center had achieved EASA Level D Certification. Havelsan is on contract to provide the carrier a total of 11 A320 CEO NEOs and Boeing 737 Max FFS and FTD’s.,

“We are thrilled to announce the second EASA full flight simulator certification of a Havelsan manufactured 737-8MAX device,” said Mehmet Akif Nacar, Havelsan CEO. “It symbolizes our shared dedication with Turkish Airlines to ensure that the simulator training infrastructure meets standards from around the globe.”

“We are satisfied in achieving Level D certification for our second simulator. This achievement reflects our dedication to ensuring the highest standards of safety and proficiency for our flight crew,” said Bilal Ekşi, CEO of Turkish Airlines.

Havelsan is planning EASA certification of its Airbus A320 CEO/NEO FFS to prove to the global airline and pilot training industry that it can provide world-class Turkish manufactured narrow body aircraft flight simulators.
