Safran’s Sigma 40 INS Integrated on AGM-84 Harpoon

Safran Electronics & Defense has announced the successful integration and testing of its Sigma 40 shipborne navigation system with the alignment system on the AGM-84 Harpoon anti-ship missile. The integration work on the missile has been performed for use on Krabi corvettes and KDX class frigates deployed by the Royal Thai Navy. Safran worked with Boeing, prime contractor for the Harpoon missile system for the integration and the successful test means that Safran’s inertial navigation systems (INS) can now be used on all of Thailand’s warships.
