Satair, a subsidiary of Airbus Services, has launched a significant long-term contract with Transavia France for its Integrated Material Services (IMS) supply chain solution. This contract, signed earlier this year, will cater to all expendable materials needed for both line and base maintenance.
Under the agreement, the company will provide all expendable airframe materials specifically tailored to meet Transavia France’s requirements. The partnership aims to improve Transavia’s operational efficiency by increasing the availability of spare parts and reducing supply chain costs. The IMS solution will oversee the entire supply chain, including forecasting, planning, purchasing, and delivery. It ensures that all airframe expendables are covered and can adapt to meet Transavia’s evolving maintenance needs.
Transavia will benefit from a customised solution that requires no upfront investment, enhancing material availability and reducing the administrative burden of supply chain planning and operations. This contract supports Transavia’s ongoing transition to an Airbus fleet, facilitating a smooth service entry and ensuring safe and efficient operations.
“We are excited to expand our collaboration with Transavia through this latest agreement with their division in France,” said Paul Lochab, CCO of Satair. “We look forward to the IMS solution playing a key role in supporting Transavia’s continuous and successful Airbus fleet ramp-up.”
Sylvain Fagot, SVP Fleet, Engineering & Maintenance at Transavia France, commented, “We are pleased to enter this partnership with Satair. We anticipate significant benefits from entrusting our supply chain operations to them, allowing us to free up resources to focus on our core mission of providing our customers with the best flying experience.”
This strategic partnership marks a notable advancement for both companies, ensuring a streamlined and efficient supply chain operation that supports the evolving needs of Transavia France.
