The Polish Government has finalised a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) to acquire 96 Boeing AH-64E Apache attack helicopters under the Polish KRUK Attack Helicopter programme.

“We are honored the Government of Poland has placed their confidence in us,” said Vince Logsdon, vice president, International Business Development for Boeing Defense, Space & Security. “The AH-64E Apache helicopters will strengthen Poland’s operational capability and interoperability with the U.S., NATO and allied nations. We look forward to delivering this unmatched capability.”

This agreement follows a recent announcement by the Polish Ministry of National Defence regarding an offset deal with Boeing. The offset agreement includes provisions for the Polish defence industry to maintain and support the Apache fleet, establish training programmes, and develop a composite laboratory.

The offset projects are designed to bolster the sustainment capabilities of Poland’s defence sector, create highly skilled jobs, and drive technological advancements, providing notable economic benefits.

“Poland’s commitment to procure 96 aircraft represents the largest FMS order in the history of Boeing’s Vertical Lift division and will not only make Poland our 19th global Apache customer but the largest operator outside of the United States,” said Kathleen Jolivette, vice president and general manager, Vertical Lift.

Boeing has been producing the AH-64 Apache for over four decades in Mesa, Arizona. The AH-64E represents the latest configuration of the Apache, integrating proven design with advanced technologies to deliver a versatile and high-performance platform. Currently, more than 1,290 Apaches are in operation globally, with Boeing Global Services providing sustainment and training support.

Poland selected the AH-64E Apache for its new attack helicopter fleet in September 2022.
