Terma and Kongsberg Aviation Maintenance Services (KAMS) have formalised a Teaming Agreement to collaborate on military Aviation Maintenance Services (AMS) in Denmark.
The increasing defence requirements and investments in the sector have prioritised closer Nordic defence cooperation for both governments and industries. The similarity of aircraft operated by Denmark and Norway allows Terma and KAMS to collaborate and offer AMS in Denmark, complementing the Danish Defence’s existing capabilities.
Terma has a long-standing relationship with the Danish Defence, particularly in the aeronautics domain, while KAMS has significant experience providing AMS as an embedded partner to the Norwegian Air Force.
“Local competencies within aircraft maintenance services are important for ensuring operational readiness. Through our cooperation with KAMS, we believe we can support the Danish Defence within AMS by sharing best practices, insights, and investments between our two countries. Terma has extensive experience within service, support, and maintenance – for example from our radars that are placed across the globe – so we view AMS as a natural addition to the areas we are already specialized in,” states Steen Lynenskjold, Executive Vice President at Terma Group.
Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace expressed satisfaction with this step towards closer cooperation. According to Kongsberg, the combined strengths, experience, and competence of KAMS and Terma will enable the team to provide effective and efficient maintenance services to the Danish Defence.
