Airbus has announced the delivery of the first A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) to the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF).
The aircraft made its first official public appearance at the RSAF’s 50th anniversary parade on Saturday 1st September 2018.
The RSAF will replace its ageing fleet of four KC-135R aerial tankers with the A330 MRTT, of which a total of six are on order.
The A330-MRTT can carry 111,000 kg of fuel for its own use or for offload to its receiver aircraft and apart from AAR operations, the aircraft can carry up to 37,000 kg of cargo or 266 personnel.
