Cyberani, a subsidiary of Saudi Aramco in the national cybersecurity sector, signed a partnership with Thales to address the cybersecurity requirements of private and public sector entities within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Formalised during the LEAP 2024 event, the agreement aligns with the objectives outlined in Vision 2030, underlining the significance of cybersecurity and digital infrastructure in fostering a diversified and sustainable economy.
“We are thrilled and proud by the signature of this unique alliance. It is a revolutionary endeavour that will significantly influence the trajectory of cyber security and resilience advancement in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today,” said Saeed Al Saeed, CEO of Cyberani. “Through this alliance, Cyberani will provide best-in-class cybersecurity solutions to organizations in KSA. By leveraging this alliance with Thales, and Aramco ecosystem as whole, Cyberani will be the leader and referent OT cybersecurity provider in the kingdom.”
“Investment in the digital infrastructure is critical to achieving the overarching aim of Vision 2030 of a diversified, digital, resilient, and knowledge-based economy. We are excited about the alliance with Cyberani and the opportunities and capabilities that our combined DNA will bring to the Saudi market,” said Pierre-Yves Jolivet, VP of Cyber Digital Solutions at Thales.
“We are committed to bolstering the nation’s defence against cyber threats, safeguarding critical infrastructure and advancing digital resilience for a secure and prosperous future. With an active presence in the Kingdom for more than 50 years, at Thales, our priority remains to building a future we can all trust,” he added.
Both companies are pooling their expertise to tackle the cybersecurity market in the Kingdom, with a collective revenue target of USD 350 million set between 2024 and 2030. With the recent acquisition of Imperva and a workforce of over 5,800 cybersecurity professionals spanning 68 countries, Thales anticipates cybersecurity revenue of USD 2.4 billion in 2024.
Under this alliance, Cyberani will utilise Thales' proficiency to secure critical Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure and operations for its clientele in Saudi Arabia. The collaboration will offer cybersecurity solutions to organisations across the Energy, Utilities, Aviation, Transportation, Space, Finance, and Smart Cities sectors.
Thales will also support Cyberani by providing cybersecurity services to Aramco and its affiliates situated outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
