Denpasar-Hong Kong Direct Cargo Route for Garuda Indonesia

: Nov 4, 2020 - : 9:20 pm

Indonesian flag carrier Garuda Indonesia is planning to open another cargo flight route after establishing two weekly routes between Makassar-Singapore and Manado-Narita.

“God willing, soon we will open a special cargo route from Denpasar to Hong Kong” said Garuda CEO Irfan Setiaputra in Jakarta on Wednesday.

“We’re opening this new route with a humble intention to carry products – especially fish from Eastern Indonesia, directly for export,” Setiaputra said. “It’s no longer necessary for a transit in Jakarta.”

According to Setiaputra, the decision has attracted a positive response from local fishermen and exporters community due to the promise of fast and direct delivery of their products to their buyers.
