Thales is showcasing its FlytX suite for helicopters for the first time in India. The FlytX avionics suite can be adapted to all civil and military helicopter cockpits, and features customizable interfaces on touch displays for both new and existing aircraft. FlytX is a compact, high-performance solution designed for easy piloting.
Weight and volume are crucial for helicopters and FlytX has significantly improved on these aspects compared to existing avionics suites. It integrates the power of four computers into a single 15” SMART display. FlytX also virtualizes control panels within touchscreens, reducing weight, volume, and onboard equipment. FlytX is an adaptable avionics system suitable for any cockpit size, from a single display in Light Single helicopters to up to four displays. The one-display system provides compact and efficient solutions while maximizing external vision. Multi-display solutions enhance situational awareness by offering more space for digital maps, video content, FLIR, and primary flight information. The integrated touchscreens reduce workload, optimize flights, and cut down on training. Tablet-like interactions like two-finger zoom and map scrolling bring familiar consumer interfaces to avionics. Pie menus offer direct access to information without extensive training.
