UVision USA and Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) signed a collaboration agreement to manufacture the Hero 120 Loitering Munition system in Charleston, South Carolina, USA. This collaboration marks a milestone in defence solutions, promising to bolster rapid response capabilities for UVisionUSA clients across the United States.
The partnership with SAIC aims to establish a fully independent domestic supply chain. This move is poised to reduce reliance on international supply chains, expedite delivery times, offer local training by expert teams, and provide comprehensive post-sale support and maintenance to UVision’s USA clients.
“UVisionUSA Inc.’s business activity has expanded significantly in the second half of 2023, with several new contracts signed with the US military and other government bodies,” said Avi Mizrachi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of UVision USA.
“Our collaboration with SAIC stems from the need to provide a complete solution to our US clients, independent of the international supply chain. We are proud to announce that the manufacturing facility itself will commence operations in March 2024”.
The Hero 120 Loitering Munition System stands as an advanced, mid-range, anti-tank system tailored to meet the demands of modern battlefields. It delivers precision strikes against anti-armour, anti-material, and anti-personnel targets, including tanks, vehicles, and soft targets in urban settings. It’s engineered to cause minimal collateral damage and is equipped with a range of multi-purpose warheads.
