The U.S. military has awarded SRC, Inc. a contract worth USD 25 million to develop the Long-Range Radar, a large instrumentation radar designed for range safety, research, development, testing, and evaluation of systems on Army test ranges.

“SRC is honoured to be part of the Range Radar Replacement Program and help ensure our military is outfitted with the best tools to prepare for new and emerging threats,” stated Kevin Hair, president and CEO of SRC. “We look forward to delivering an innovative system that supports the Army’s testing capabilities and evaluation needs.”

This contract is a component of the U.S. Army’s ongoing Range Radar Replacement Program. The programme aims to equip Army test ranges with new radars featuring enhanced testing capabilities and reduced life-cycle costs through the development and deployment of modern radar designs. The system will be utilised to assess the capabilities and limitations of crucial Army equipment, supporting current test ranges and preparing for future conflicts.
