Qatar Airways has been announced by Panasonic Avionics Corporation (Panasonic) as the launch customer for its new EcoFW 10” inflight entertainment (IFE) upgrade programme.
The first Qatar Airways’ 777 aircraft from its fleet completed its IFE upgrade this week.
Qatar Airways fleet of 37 Boeing 777 aircraft will be updated with Panasonic’s new EcoFW 10” monitor upgrade, for its seatback IFE monitors.

Panasonic’s IFE upgrade programme, can be achieved on an aircraft during routine overnight maintenance, including the installation of a new passenger entertainment server.
The IFE upgrades, enables airlines to achieve faster media loading times – all without any increase in weight, and with dramatically improved reliability levels.
Qatar Airways and Panasonic, share a longstanding partnership which first started in 2000.
