New Zealand based Ardmore Flying School, located in Auckland, has acquired an Alsim AL42 simulator, marking the first sale into the country for the firm.

Alsim’s AL42 simulator is an exact replica of the Diamond DA42, built using genuine aircraft parts and equipped with the latest real-world Garmin G1000 avionics suite.
It also comes with latest generation visual system, GFC 700 autopilot and PBN/LPV capabilities.
Ardmore Flying School and Ian Calvert, CEO said, “Alsim was chosen for their attention to detail, fantastic and open communication and the quality of the equipment. The visuals provided allow for excellent handling training as well as the IFR procedures and combined with the full IOS gives scope to challenge trainee pilots to extend their capabilities and skills. The AL42 best represents the aircraft flown and will provide an excellent platform for our student cadet training.”
Ardmore Flying School has a fleet of 16 C172 single engine, and 2 Diamond DA42 Twin Star multi-engine aircraft.
The School also has 3 simulators including single engine, multi-engine and a Pacific Simulators Euro Jet PS4.5 A320 fixed base simulator.
