Embraer Opens Registration for Free Training Programme

Our Bureau - : Jan 30, 2025 - : 1:31 pm

Embraer has begun accepting applications for its Social Tech Careers programme, a free technology training initiative designed for women and people with disabilities. The programme offers 70 places and aims to support greater inclusion in the technology sector.

The training will focus on data analysis and the development of applications and computer systems using beginner-friendly programming techniques. Classes will be conducted online and live, running from March to June 2025, Monday to Thursday, from 7 PM to 10 PM.

"The market is increasingly seeking more skilled individuals in the technology field, and more professionals are interested in working with data science. With Social Tech, we hope to contribute to increasing the pool of these professionals and meet the growing demand from companies," says Embraer's Vice President of People, ESG, and Corporate Communications, Andreza Alberto. "At the same time, the course encourages diversity in the technology field, so that people from different backgrounds and life experiences can expand their skills in this highly relevant area today."

The programme is organised in collaboration with the education technology company SoulCode. Participants will be introduced to low-code platforms, programming languages such as Python, and tools like Power BI for creating dashboards.

Of the 70 places available, 60 are open to the general public, while 10 are reserved for Embraer employees. Applicants must register by 9 March via SoulCode's website. The selection process includes assessments in logic and basic computing, a short personal introduction video, and a group exercise.

Since its launch in 2021, Social Tech Careers has trained over 1,600 professionals in four editions, focusing on underrepresented groups, including women, people with disabilities, and Black and Brown individuals. Graduates of the programme are included in Embraer Group’s talent pool, potentially improving their access to employment opportunities.
