Emirates SkyCargo, the cargo arm of one of the two flag carriers of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has established an API connection with a logistics service solution company DB Schenker. By leveraging digital tools, Emirates SkyCargo aims to enhance its customer experience and enable the swifter and more efficient flow of international trade.
The host-to-host connection with DB Schenker’s internal booking engine optimizes the air freight booking process, providing agents with direct access to Emirates SkyCargo’s schedules, Standard and Contract Tariff rates and available capacity, as well as the airline’s vast global network of over 140 destinations across six continents.
Initially launched in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, the connection will extend globally, facilitating trade with key markets such as Hong Kong, China, Singapore, India, Germany, and the USA. Initially focusing on general cargo, the service may expand to include other products from Emirates SkyCargo’s diverse portfolio in the future.
