Eyeing Exports, MS SPEKTRAL Makes DIMDEX Debut

Our Bureau - : Mar 6, 2024 - : 4:27 am

MS SPEKTRAL, which specialises in electro-optic and X-ray imaging systems that are extensively used in Turkey, is at the show, hoping to catch the attention of the sizable international audience in attendance. The company is making its debut at the event.

The company is showcasing several products, including its latest electro-optic system – the Laser See Spot Camera. The camera, which ensures flawless scene and laser spot capture, regardless of day or night conditions, has been delivered to Roketsan and Turkey’s Defence Industry Agency.

“You designate a target with a laser and then you send the missile to hit it,” says Onur Haliloglu, company CEO. “To send the missile, you need to see the spot of the laser and the target, both in dark night conditions and daylight. This system helps you do that.”

“We design and manufacture our electro-optic systems,” adds Haliloglu. “Our electro-optic systems are used in different defence platforms such as the Anka UAS and armoured vehicles. We have exported our systems to South Korea, the U.S. and Europe. This is our first time at DIMDEX; we want to expand our exports and we feel this is a good way to attract attention to our products.”

Some of the other projects on display at the company booth are the VNIR Low Light Imaging System- VNRI GS100, the MS-RGK-110, which is used for the head camera on UAVs, and the SWIR Motorised Zoom Lens with Continuous Zoom.

The company is one of only six companies in the world that produce an X-ray truck vehicle scanning system, said Haliloglu. Some of its X-ray scanning systems include the Muhafiz system that enables rapid screening of vehicles and cargo, the Hayalet Backscatter X-ray Vehicle Scanning System, Gantry X-ray truck scanner and X-ray baggage screening system.
