Kallman Worldwide to Organize USA Partnership Pavilion at DSEI Japan 2025

With Kallman Worldwide partnering with DSEI show organizer Clarion Defense to present the USA Partnership Pavilion at DSEI Japan in 2025, the number of U.S. companies attending the next edition looks set to increase substantially.

The U.S. is the largest international group at the ongoing event, with 42 companies in attendance, an increase from 26 in the previous edition. Tom Kallman, President and CEO of Kallman Worldwide, is confident that the turnout in 2025 will be even bigger.

“We are on site, helping to coordinate the American pavilion,” said Kallman. “We are going to build on the success of this event and look forward to 2025 when we will have a full-fledged partnership pavilion. The USA Partnership Pavilion lets U.S. exhibitors maximize their exposure and impact on-site.”

DSEI Japan, which is the only large-scale, fully integrated, defense-focused event in the country, provides unprecedented levels of access into the Japanese and wider Asia-Pacific market. The Asian country has traditionally relied on U.S. for missile defence as well for offensive capabilities. According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), the U.S. provided 97 percent of Japan’s defense equipment imports from 2016-2020.

Japan’s decision to significantly increase military spending spells opportunity for U.S. companies, said Kallman. “With Japan doubling defense expenditure over the next 5 years to 2% of GDP, and the National Security Strategy announcement in December 2022 that increased spending in 2023 by 26%, the export opportunities for U.S. companies are greater than ever. As Japan has a strong indigenous defence industry, U.S. companies know that they have a chance not only to sell weapons but also to partner with their Japanese counterparts for joint ventures and technology transfer projects.”

Kallman Worldwide has been organizing trade shows for 60 years and has worked with over 3000 U.S. and Canadian companies at exhibitions and trade shows around the world. In 2021, the company organized the USA Partnership Pavilion at DSEI London.
