The Loong 4, the multi-rotor precision surveillance tactical drone that made its show debut at the recent 14th Airshow China in Zhuhai, grabbed eyeballs at the event.

The Loong 4, produced by oongUAV, is a medium-sized multi-rotor UAV that features heavy load capacity and long flight duration. The drone is designed to meet a variety of combat needs. Capable of carrying four 82mm and six 60mm mortars, locking the target position by the tracking pod, and performing bombing missions from the air, the UAV supports single-shot and multi-shot modes. With a drop accuracy of less than or equal to 2m, it is suitable for precise strikes. When the tri-light payload is carried, it can also provide meter-level high-precision position data for target artillery calibration.

At the show, the Loong 4 received orders and expression of interest from Russia, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, South Africa, Armenia, Yemen, Uzbekistan, Zambia, Jordan and other countries. The total order value was over US$500 million.

Among the drones exhibited at the air show were the WJ-700 “Falcon” large-scale inspection and attack UAV of the Third Academy of Aerospace Science and Industry, AVIC’s Wing Loong-1E medium and low altitude UAV, and China Aerospace Science and Technology’s Rainbow-4 medium-range surveillance drone.

LoongUAV designs, develops, manufactures, and markets tactical drones. Among its other proeucts are the Loong 1, a targeting drone that can provide precise positioning of long-range targets, Loong 2, which is a reconnaissance drone that can be deployed quickly and covertly to detect battlefield conditions, and the Loong 5, an attack drone that can bombard targets in large areas.
