Quantum3D has announced a new release of the latest version of MANTIS, its award-winning real-time scene management and image generation software.
The new version of MANTIS comes with a new set of enhanced capabilities for both visual and sensor simulation and will be available on all current platforms including off-the shelf PCs running Windows or Linux, and Independence IDX 9 and IDX 8 series Image Generators equipped with MANTIS.
Some of new features in Mantis 4.1.0 release include added 100% compliance for all Symbol Surface and Symbol packets defined in CIGI version 3.3 and 4.0 specifications, implementing dynamic airport gate Stand Guidance Systems, a requirement for many Level D commercial flight simulators, improved atmospheric processing, AdvWeather plugin, labelling scene entities, rendering dynamic cockpit instrumentation into the scene as a 3D object, as well as additional controls and improved quality for features designed to improve dynamic range, such as dithering and floating point rendering buffers.
