Roketsan highlighted the capabilities of its TEBER low-cost laser guidance kit at the just concluded DIMDEX exhibition.
TEBER kits convert MK-81(250 lb) and MK-82(500lb) general purpose bombs into precision smart weapons using INS, GPS and Laser Seekers.
When the add-on laser seeker is used as part of the TEBER kit, the munition is capable of striking moving, relocatable and maritime targets which are manouevering at high speeds.
This provides operators with a useful and low-cost capability to attack maritime targets and bombs fitted with the laser seeker can also be fitted with a ‘Height of Burst seeker’.
Iron bombs such as the MK- 81/MK-82 can be fitted very quickly with the TEBER tail section and laser seeker.
The GPS/INS system for precise guidance is installed in the tail kit, which also features aerodynamic control surfaces. Body Strakes are also fitted and these supply additional lift and stability to the munitions.
