Vietnam’s leading budget airline, Vietjet, continues its expansion into the Australian market with the introduction of a new direct flight route connecting the bustling capital city of Hanoi with the iconic port city of Sydney. This announcement comes on the heels of the recent introduction of a flight route to Melbourne earlier this month, marking a significant milestone for the airline as it strengthens its presence in the region.
The new route, set to commence operations on June 8, 2024, will offer travellers two return flights per week between Hanoi and Sydney, further enhancing connectivity between Vietnam and Australia. With a flight duration of approximately 10 hours per leg, passengers can expect a convenient and efficient travel experience.
Flights from Hanoi to Sydney will depart every Wednesday and Saturday at 17:10, arriving in Sydney at 06:10 the following day. On the return journey, flights will depart from Sydney on Thursdays and Sundays at 8:30, reaching Hanoi at 16:00 on the same day. All times are local.
In celebration of the inaugural Hanoi-Sydney route, Vietjet has launched an enticing promotional offer, available until March 25, 2024. Passengers can take advantage of special Eco ticket fares starting from just VND0 (excluding taxes and fees) when booking through the airline’s website or mobile app. This promotion applies not only to the new route between Hanoi and Sydney but also to all existing flight routes connecting Vietnam and Australia, including those between Ho Chi Minh City and Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne.
With the addition of this latest route, Vietjet now offers a total of seven flight routes connecting Vietnam and Australia, providing travellers with increased accessibility and choice when planning their journeys between the two countries.
