Bombardier announced that Air Canada had
become the first North American mainline
and international network carrier to sign up
for 45 CS300 aircraft with options for an
additional 30 CS300 aircraft. The airline has
also decided to retain the rights to convert
some part of the order for the smaller
CS100. This is Bombardier’s first order for
the C Series in 2016 and at current list prices,
the firm order for 45 jetliners is valued at
approximately US$3.8 billion, though airlines
are typically able to negotiate discounts on
list prices.
