قال السفير الأول الإسرائيلي في الإمارات إن إسرائيل مستعدة للتعاون المستقبلي في مجال الدفاع الصاروخي مع الإمارات العربية المتحدة وتدعم طلب أبو ظبي للحصول على طائرة مقاتلة من طراز اف-35 (F-35) الشبح من الولايات المتحدة.
في مقابلة حصرية مع ديلي نيوز على هامش معرض الدفاع الدولي المستمر (آيدكس 2021) في أبو ظبي، قال السفير “إيتان نائِع” : “نحن (إسرائيل والإمارات العربية المتحدة) نتشارك مصالح أمنية مهمة وسوف يعزز تعاوننا الاستقرار الإقليمي.
وردا على سؤال محدد حول ما إذا كانت إسرائيل ستكون منفتحة على التعاون المستقبلي في مجال الدفاع الصاروخي مع الإمارات، قال: “بالطبع نحن منفتحون على التعاون المستقبلي في مجال الدفاع الصاروخي وعلينا أن نقرره ونبتكره ونعطي الأولوية له. إنها عملية ولا تحدث في يوم واحد. لسوء الحظ، أدى إنتشار فيروس كورونا (Covid-19) إلى إبطاء العملية وإلا لكانت الأمور ستتحرك وتحدث بشكل أسرع “.
كما تقوم الإمارات مؤخرًا بتقييم احتمالات شراء نظام القبة الحديدية للدفاع الصاروخي في أعقاب تهديد محتمل بعمل إيراني ضدها ردًا على اتفاقية السلام مع إسرائيل.
كما قال السفير الإسرائيلي إن بلاده ستحاول دعم حلم الإمارات في الحصول على مقاتلات اف-35 (F-35) من الولايات المتحدة. وأضاف “نحن ندعم … ونريد من أصدقائنا دعم الإمارات. أي شيء يدعم عملية السلام هو جيد لنا جميعًا “.
على الرغم من أن إدارة ترامب السابقة وافقت على بيع 50 طائرة من طراز اف-35 البرق2 (F-35 Lightning II) بالإضافة إلى طائرات ام كيو-9 ريبر (MQ-9 Reaper) بدون طيار إلى الإمارات العربية المتحدة، إلا أن الرئيس الأمريكي الجديد جو بايدن أوقف الصفقة المقترحة.
أصبحت الصفقة المقترحة ممكنة بعد أن أعلنت الإمارات العربية المتحدة وإسرائيل في 13 أغسطس / آب 2020 أنهما ستطبعان العلاقات، وخاصة منذ توقيعهما على اتفاقيات إبراهيم.
وفي تفصيل لأولوياته العاجلة في الدولة الخليجية، قال نائع: “على رأس جدول الأعمال هو مواصلة العلاقات. لجعل البرامج الجميلة التي نبتكرها جيدة في مختلف المجالات، بما في ذلك الدفاع والفضاء، حيث يوجد تآزر كبير بين البلدين. لذا فإن اللوحة مكتملة “.
حول الإنتاج المحلي ونقل التكنولوجيا، يقول: “كل شيء ممكن، نحتاج إلى الجلوس وتحديد المجالات الممكنة. نحن بحاجة إلى بناء آلية تسمح لنا ببناء مجالات الاهتمام المشترك. لقد بدأنا ونحن نسير في الاتجاه الصحيح “.
وردا على سؤال حول ما إذا كانت المحادثات الحكومية قد بدأت بين إسرائيل والإمارات في مجال الدفاع، قال: “نعم، لقد بدأنا وسنقوم بالتأكيد ببناء نموذج جيد للعلاقة الدفاعية. نموذج للعلاقات الجيدة والتعاون المماثل. لتعيش حياة جيدة.
“نأمل أن تمتد اتفاقيات إبراهيم إلى الدول العربية الأخرى وأن يروا ما نبنيه هنا وكيف نشكل علاقاتنا مع المنطقة وما هي الاحتمالات. إن شاء الله ستنجح. نحن نبني نموذجًا وننشغل في ابتكاره وتطبيقه “.
كما يقول إن بلاده ستكون مفتوحة للإنتاج المحلي من خلال شريك محلي. يقول: “سننظر بالتأكيد في هذه الاحتمالات”.
في إشارة إلى الإقبال المنخفض في آيدكس 2021، يتأسف نائع: “بالتأكيد، نحن آسفون لأننا لم نتمكن من الحضور. لسوء الحظ، بسبب فيروس كورونا، اضطررنا لإغلاق حدودنا. نريد التخلص من كوفيد وهذه هي أولويتنا. سيستمر التعاون والمصلحة موجودة “.
إيتان نائع، كان سفيرًا سابقًا في تركيا، وأصبح أول إسرائيلي يتمتع بمكانة دبلوماسية كاملة في الدولة الخليجية بعد تطبيع العلاقات مع إسرائيل.
