Dassault Aviation continues to build its in-country presence in India and is showcasing its India sourcing capabilities at the ongoing airshow.

Major pieces of engine doors and the rudder for the Rafale fighter aircraft manufactured at Dassault Reliance Aerospace Ltd’s (DRAL) 15,000 square meters facility in Nagpur are on display.

The company is highlighting it “Make in India” achievements at Aero India, where it is showcasing the implementation of its offsets obligations in line with the contractual commitments. The French airframer is also looking to participate in future Indian aviation programmes as well.

“The technological know-how and competences of Dassault Aviation and its partners, Thales and Safran Aircraft Engines, are entirely dedicated to partner India in meeting its strategic defence and economic needs. Participating at Aero India and more widely, establishing ourselves in India with a view to developing wide-ranging cooperation under the “Make in India” policy, means renewing our vows with India after more than six decades of common history and a bright future ahead, ” said Eric Trappier, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dassault Aviation.

At the previous edition of the airshow, Aero India 2019, the company had showcased the first Falcon 2000 cockpit front section made by DRAL.

“Larger infrastructures (SIC) are currently being developed and will allow the ramp-up of DRAL capabilities towards the taking-off of an entire line of Falcon 2000 manufactured and assembled in India,” a company release says.
