Hurjet, the new advanced trainer developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) that features a Landing System developed by MA Group, completed its maiden flight on April 25. The flight took place from Ankara Turkish Aerospace base.
The success of the Hurjet first flight represents an important milestone for MA Group as it developed the entire aircraft Landing System. Full Landing Gears, Braking, Steering and relevant Control sub-systems and equipment of the aircraft were developed, qualified, integrated, and certified by MA Group at their premises.
MA Group officials, while thanking TAI for the opportunity to contribute to the development of Hurjet, also lauded the abilities of engineers and technicians within the MA Group, and their ability to manage and integrate a complex supply chain and main equipment suppliers. The success of the maiden flight demonstrates the solid and growing industrial cooperation between TAI and MA Group. It also marks a major milestone in MA Group’s technological development road map undertaken more than 20 years ago to become a global Landing Systems Supplier in the world scenario, they added.
The key role played by MA Group in Hurjet development is yet another example of Italian industry excellence in a hi-tech market, company officials say. A long history of competence, skilled employees, passion, and investment aiming for excellence in a competitive industrial sector, will drive companies within the Group to even bigger successes across the world, they added.
