Nexter subsidiary Nexter Robotics, and its Training and Digital Global Solutions (DGS) entities are displaying a range of Digital and Defence Robotics Solutions at the ongoing UMEX exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
Nexter’s Robotics, Training and DGS division are displaying their wares at the show.
Nexter teams have been working closely with the UAE land forces for nearly 25 years, especially in the fields of armoured vehicles (LECLERC MBT programme), artillery and ammunition.
NERVA Robots: Nexter Robotics is showcasing a version of the NERVA LG with associated kits on its stand. The French Army has acquired 56 robots as part of its SCORPION programme and the Canadian Army is about to receive 88 robots, as part of a March 2019 order.
Nexter Robotics continues to meet the strong demand for its robots in the export market, particularly related to Special Forces and intervention units.
Training Modules: Nexter Training is showcasing two immersive simulation modules at UMEX 2020. The first one, Virtual Operation Training (VOT), provides gunners a virtual training to use the CAESAR artillery system. The second one, Virtual Maintenance Training (VMT), trains operators in the maintenance and repair of P20 guns.
The FINDM System: FINDMP is an operations planning, preparation and monitoring tool compatible with any Battle Management System (BMS). FINDMP has been acquired by the French Army in order to test it before a possible deployment in the forces. The joint forces system can be used at all levels of decision-making, from section to staff level.
