SATS Ltd. (SATS), Asia’s provider of Gateway Services and Food Solutions and Plaza Premium Group (PPG), operator of independent airport lounge network offering Premium Airport Services, announced the launch of Blossom – SATS & Plaza Premium Lounge in Changi Airport Terminal 4. “With increased air travel, people are spending more time at the airport. It is important to not only focus on the in-flight experience but also the journey from end to end. SATS is in touch with travellers at each stage of their journey to experience some of the special sights, sounds and tastes of Singapore from the comfort of the SATS Plaza Premium Blossom lounge,” said Yacoob Piperdi, Executive Vice President of Gateway Services, SATS. Changi Airport is an important transit hub for many airlines. Recognising the importance of the transit traveller segment to the airport, the lounge immerses travellers in a shared experience of ‘a city in a garden’ as part of Changi Airport’s appeal. Strategically located in Terminal 4’s Heritage Zone, guests can enjoy ‘VIP box seats’ for a digital performance of the Peranakan Love Story, which plays across T4’s signature Peranakan shophouse or catch the 2018 FIFA World Cup matches live. Blossom – SATS & Plaza Premium Lounge is located in the transit area on Level 2 Mezzanine. Spanning an area of approximately 1,100 square metres, it has the capacity to accommodate up to 800 guests a day, with seats for 280. In addition to the usual amenities for first and business class passengers, it has self-contained cabins, showers and napping facilities in the relaxation zone for transfer and transit travellers. “We are excited to be in Changi Airport again. In our partnership, we aim to bring together the brand promises of Plaza Premium Lounge and SATS to offer exceptional hospitality services and a seamless airport experience to all travelling through Terminal 4,” said Song Hoi-see, Founder and CEO of Plaza Premium Group. Chefs at the live station will cook passengers’ meals while they relax. An island tapas bar offers a 360° view of the airport and is available for private events and functions, lending an air of festivity to the garden ambience. The lounge is a joint venture between SATS and Plaza Premium Group. SATS operates its own Premier lounges in Changi Airport’s three other terminals, such as the SATS Premier Lounge at Terminal 2, which was named Priority Pass Asia Pacific Lounge of the Year 2017. Plaza Premium Group has its Plaza Premium Lounge in Terminal 1 and operates Aerotel Singapore, an airport transit hotel in Terminal 1 and TGM, an airport dining outlet in Terminal 2. This partnership between SATS and Plaza Premium Group brings together the expertise of both industry leaders to enhance their service standards with a different lounge experience.
