AirAsia has announced a new route to Port Blair, Andaman Islands, India, enhancing connectivity between Singapore and India through its Fly-Thru services. This route, commencing on 16 November 2024, will operate thrice weekly from Kuala Lumpur. AirAsia will be the only airline in ASEAN to offer international flights to Port Blair.
With this addition, AirAsia now connects Singaporean travellers to 17 cities in India via Kuala Lumpur, including Chennai, Jaipur, and New Delhi. The airline operates 11 daily flights from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur.
Port Blair, located in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the Bay of Bengal, is known for its pristine waters and marine life. It is a popular destination for Indian tourists and will now be accessible to travellers from Singapore. The islands are also home to ancient tribal communities protected by the Indian government.
To mark the launch, AirAsia is offering promotional fares from Singapore to Port Blair, with a stopover in Kuala Lumpur, starting at SGD330 one way. These fares are available for booking on the AirAsia MOVE app or the airline’s website until 18 August 2024, for travel between 16 November 2024 and 25 October 2025. These fares include airport taxes, fuel surcharges, and other applicable fees. Terms and conditions apply.
