Going Beyond IFE
           n an effort to take the customer experience beyond IFE,
           Panasonic is offering a new solution called Wellness, which
           will be available as part of its NEXT platform. The company

        of Panasonic Avionics Corporation. These features mark a new
        trend, where IFE providers start moving beyond their traditional
        domain to target health, wellness and biometrics for airline
        passengers. Panasonic’s Active Noise Control solution, reduces
        ambient noise at the seat by up to 15dB, and is optimized for the
        80-400Hz frequency range with no impact on human voices.
        The technology is adaptable to each seat configuration and will
        calibrate automatically to a passenger’s seat inflight, reducing
        background aircraft noise and thus allowing passengers to have
        more comfortable and restful sleep aboard long-haul flights. To
