ASELSAN recorded revenues of 120 billion TL (over 3.2 billion USD) in 2024, marking a 13% increase from the previous year. The company’s EBITDA margin rose from 22% to 25%, while its net profit margin increased from 10% to 13%.
The company secured new sales contracts worth 6.5 billion USD during the year, bringing its total order backlog to 14 billion USD. Of these contracts, 1 billion USD came from international sales, with ASELSAN signing agreements with seven new countries, expanding its customer base to 92 nations.
ASELSAN delivered systems across multiple defence sectors, including air defence, radar, electronic warfare, guidance, avionics, electro-optics, naval, and military communication. It also introduced 29 new products in 2024.
The company reported an export volume of 508 million USD for the year, a 67% increase compared to 2023. In total, 31 products were exported for the first time, contributing to a 70% annual growth in export contracts. ASELSAN also expanded its global operations by opening six new offices, bringing its presence to 20 countries.
ASELSAN President & CEO Ahmet Akyol stated: "Our 2024 financial results strongly reflect the success of our aselsaneXt vision and international cooperation-driven growth strategy. Last year, we expanded our global presence to 20 countries with six new offices. One of our key achievements, ASELFLIR-500, first rolled off the production line in February 2023 and was exported to 16 countries within a year. In 2024, our 29 systems, including the key components of Steel Dome, such as SİPER and HİSAR air defence systems, AESA-based ALP 300-G, ALP 100-G radars, and our naval systems MARLİN USV and DÜFAS low-frequency towed active sonar system, entered into the inventory. Our TOLUN guided munition, capable of engaging eight targets in a single sortie, became operational in 2024.”
He added that the company made strategic investments in research and development, including a 40 million USD Electro-Optic FLIR Production Facility and a 50 million USD Radar Integration Centre. As ASELSAN marks its 50th anniversary, Akyol said the company aims to maintain over 10% growth in 2025 and seeks to be among the world’s top 30 defence firms by 2030.
