EDGE Group has inked a contract valued at USD 27 million (AED 99 million) with Indonesian state-owned enterprise PT Pindad in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on Tuesday (May. 14).
Under the terms of the agreement, EDGE will supply an ammunition production line capable of manufacturing 5.56x45mm and 7.62x51mm caliber ammunition. The contract signing took place during the official visit of Indonesia’s President-elect and Minister of Defense, Lt. General (Ret.) Prabowo Subianto, to the UAE.
This initiative is in accordance with Indonesia’s Ministry of Defense’s objective to enhance local employment opportunities and bolster indigenous manufacturing capabilities. The ammunition facility is projected to commence production operations in 2026.
