وقّع صندوق تنمية القطاعات الاستراتيجية، الذراع الاستثمارية لمجلس التوازن الاقتصادي، وشركة EOS الأسترالية، اتفاقية لإنشاء مشروع مشترك يصمم نظام سلاح خفيف ومتعدد المنصات بعيار 14.5 × 114 ملم في دولة الإمارات.
وقال طارق الحوسني، الرئيس التنفيذي لـ«توازن» ورئيس مجلس إدارة صندوق تنمية القطاعات الاستراتيجية: «تأتي هذه الاتفاقية في إطار التزام الصندوق بدعم تطوير الصناعات الاستراتيجية في دولة الإمارات والمساهمة في اقتصاد الدولة عبر منظومة الشراكة الاستثمارية التنموية لدينا”، و أضاف “إنه لمن دواعي سرورنا أن نتعاون مع EOS ، إحدى شركات الدفاع والتكنولوجيا الرائدة في أستراليا، ونتطلع إلى علاقة مستمرة من شأنها أن تعود بالفائدة على كلا الطرفين”.
يهدف المشروع المشترك إلى تطوير مجموعة واسعة من المنتجات على أساس مفهوم التصميم والتكنولوجيا لنظام الأسلحة الجديد 14.5 × 114 ملم. سيستثمر الشركاء ما يزيد على 200 مليون درهم إماراتي خلال الأعوام القليلة المقبلة.
كجزء من محاولة إنتاج النظام محليًا، سيعمل المشروع المشترك مع خبرات إماراتية وعالمية في الهندسة والتصميم. وسيتميز النظام الجديد بخفة الوزن والدقة العالية والكفاءة من حيث ندرة التوقف والارتداد وتعزيز الدعم اللوجستي.
وقال عبدالله الجعبري، الرئيس التنفيذي للصندوق “تمهد الاتفاقية الطريق أمام المشروع المشترك لإنشاء خط إنتاج في دولة الإمارات، لتزويد الأسواق العالمية. واستراتيجية الصندوق قائمة على التعاون مع الشركات الوطنية ذات القدرات العالية لدعم تطوير وتصنيع نظام الأسلحة الجديدة وتوطين سلسلة الإمداد الخاصة به.”
وأضاف بن غرين، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة EOS ” ندعم تطوير منتجات تكنولوجية دفاعية متطورة من شأنها أن تؤدي دوراً فعالاً في الأسواق العالمية، ويمثل المشروع المشترك خطوة كبيرة نحو تطوير القطاعات الاستراتيجية في الدولة لكي تقوم بدعم الجيل القادم من الكفاءات في مجالات الدفاع وصناعات الطيران.”
