Flir is showcasing the Star SAFIRE 380-HD, its newest product I the airborne market, as well as other infrared and electro-optical systems for military and police use, at FAMEX.
The Star SAFIRE 380-HD provides superior image stabilization, ultra-long-range imaging performance, and true metadata embedded in the digital video.
Featuring internal navigation for precise targeting, a MWIR thermal imager, optional HD color and low-light cameras, and multiple laser payload options, the system is fully hardened for military fixed-wing and helicopter operations.
“We have a large customer base here in Mexico,” said Rory Forsythe, Director of Business Development for Americas (Non-US) regions. “We sell to all of the armed force in Mexico and the federal police. Now with the national guard being set up, I was hoping to meet with some officials from that organization. We have a lot of systems in Mexico.”
The company’s systems are in almost every country in Latin American and pretty much worldwide, said Forsythe. “Every military organization of significance has our systems. Our anti-drone capability, especially, is capturing a lot of attention.
