Galaxy Aerospace, a leading maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) company in Malaysia has been appointed as Honeywell’s authorized avionics dealer in the country.
The strategic partnership between Honeywell and Galaxy Aerospace will provide pilots and crews with advanced avionics solutions in order to meet safety, situational awareness and performance requirements for various missions such as search and rescue, maritime surveillance, firefighting, and VIP transport.
With the latest announcement, Honeywell has extended its partnership with Galaxy Aerospace beyond the Malaysian A139 fleet.
Speaking with Daily News at the show, Sathesh Ramiah, Vice President, Defence & Space, Asia Pacific, Honeywell Aerospace said the company was growing its in country MRO capability which would make it well placed to capture future Malaysian opportunities in the aviation domain. “Over the past year, we worked closely together to provide best-in-class product lines and services for Malaysia, an important market for Honeywell.” With the appointment of Galaxy Aerospace as Honeywell’s authorized avionics dealer in the country, the former will take Honeywell’s advanced avionics products and Retrofit, Modification, and Upgrade (RMU) solutions for helicopter operators in APAC commercial aircraft and defence sectors, deeper into the Malaysian market.
