Orbit Communication Systems Ltd. has launched the MPT30Ka Deployable SATCOM System, a portable satellite communication terminal designed for rapid deployment in military operations. Based on the company's MPT30 platform, the system is intended to provide secure and continuous connectivity in challenging environments.
The MPT30Ka Deployable is a man-portable SATCOM terminal with a roll-on/roll-off capability, allowing military forces to quickly establish a high-performance satellite communication link. It supports real-time data transmission, secure voice communications, and live video streaming, even in areas where GPS signals are unavailable. The system is compatible with GEO, MEO, LEO, and HEO satellites, offering global coverage. With high EIRP and G/T values, it facilitates broadband communication at low elevation angles while optimising bandwidth use.
Designed for military applications, the terminal complies with MIL-STD standards and is built to withstand extreme conditions. It features a plug-and-play function with a single-button setup, enabling rapid activation. The system also operates under GPS jamming and spoofing conditions. Its compact and lightweight design is intended to improve availability while reducing operational costs and satellite resource usage. Additionally, the MPT30Ka variants can be mounted on vehicles or vessels, broadening its use in mobile defence operations.
