RENK Group AG has announced a collaboration with NXP Semiconductors to enhance the digitalisation of its product portfolio. The partnership will focus on integrating digital capabilities into RENK’s drive systems for mobile platforms.
As part of the initiative, described as ‘Software-Defined Mobility,’ the companies will jointly develop software- and hardware-based solutions. A dedicated hardware/software framework will serve as the foundation for future digital solutions from RENK and its partners, creating a modular digital toolkit for various products.
NXP will contribute its expertise in digital mobility solutions across land and sea applications. Lars Reger, Chief Technology Officer of NXP, stated that both companies share the goal of providing advanced technological solutions. "That is precisely why we are combining our expertise through our collaboration and setting a strong example for digitalization in the field of highly complex drive technologies," he said.
Dr. Alexander Sagel, CEO of RENK Group AG, highlighted the importance of the collaboration in advancing the company's drive systems. "This puts us in an ideal position to meet future demand for smart integrated solutions," he said.
