Austrian Airlines, the national flag carrier airline of Austria, has selected StandardAero to continue providing MRO services for the airline’s Pratt & Whitney Canada APS 2300 auxiliary power units (APUs).

The exclusive multi-year contract extends a long-running relationship between the two companies since StandardAero signed its initial APS 2300 support agreement with Austrian in 2007.

StandardAero will continue to provide MRO services for the APS 2300 APUs equipping the fleet of Embraer E195 regional aircraft operated by Austrian. StandardAero’s Maryville, Tennessee location, which is an OEM-approved Authorized Repair Facility (ARF) for the APS 2300, provides Austrian with customized MRO programs offering maximum support and flexibility to meet the airline’s specific operational needs.

“StandardAero has been our APS 2300 APU MRO partner since 2007 and meets the high technical standards of Austrian Airlines with every redelivered APU,” said Philipp Muzatko, APU Propulsion Engineer for Austrian Airlines.

Lewis Prebble, President of Airlines and Fleets for StandardAero said, “The team here at StandardAero is excited to extend its status as Austrian’s exclusive APS 2300 support provider under this multi-year agreement. We appreciate the confidence shown in us by the airline through this contract renewal, and look forward to continuing supporting Austrian and its passengers with reliable APU support services for many years to come.”

StandardAero was the first independent service provider for the APS 2300 APU. As a Pratt & Whitney Canada Authorized Repair Facility, StandardAero offers numerous benefits to APS 2300 operators, including full access to OEM technical support and documentation, full OEM warranty processing, full access to rental bank assets, component repair and LRU capabilities, and coordinated repair development with OEM authorization.
