Terma has secured a contract to supply four SCANTER 6002 naval surveillance radars for the Belgian and Netherlands Navy’s Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) frigates. This contract highlights the company’s role in enhancing maritime security and surveillance capabilities.

Damen Naval, responsible for constructing the frigates and serving as the main contractor with the Netherlands Ministry of Defence and Navy, will oversee the integration of the radars onto the vessels. RH Marine, acting as the system integrator, will collaborate with Terma to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of the radar systems.

“We are honoured to have been selected to provide our SCANTER 6002 radars to the Belgian and Netherlands navies. These radars are not only best-in-class but also represent the culmination of Terma’s relentless dedication to innovation and excellence in maritime surveillance technology,” said Martin Jentsch, Sales Director, Naval Sales at Terma.

“We are confident that our partnership with Damen Naval and RH Marine will ensure the successful integration and deployment of these radar systems, ultimately enhancing the operational capabilities of the frigates and bolstering maritime security in the region.”

The SCANTER 6002 radar, approved by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), is known for its advanced features and performance. It employs X-band technology, multi-frequency capabilities, and sophisticated small target detection algorithms, providing high reliability and accuracy in all weather conditions for naval surveillance operations.

Terma’s SCANTER 6002 radars are noted for their performance, reliability, and versatility in naval surveillance applications globally.
