Turkiye’s Azat FPV at ADEX

Our Bureau - : Sep 26, 2024 - : 2:27 pm

Robit Technology’s Azat First Person View (FPV) kamikaze drone is catching the eyes of the guests at the ADEX2024. The drone is designed for reconnaissance, surveillance, and targeted attack purposes.

The Turkiye-based company says Azat offers a feature that allows the pilot to feel or see the drone in front of their eyes.

Azat weighs approximately 2 kilograms and has a payload capacity of 800 grams. With a 20-minute airborne time and the ability to be controlled at a range of 2.5 kilometers, it can effectively intervene with its target.

Business Development Director Yiğit Özboyacı says Azat’s ability to respond to field needs is significant.

The FPV kamikaze drone takes inspiration from field needs. Azat comes in two different models that allow for various sizes and ammunition usage. We plan to conduct ammunition tests with Azat in the near future, Özboyacı says.

Additionally, we have signed a strategic collaboration agreement with KZ Mechatronics for the development of safe firing systems for kamikaze drones. This collaboration aims to contribute to strengthening the Turkish defense industry and providing effective solutions for the country’s security, he adds.
