Bengaluru, 11th February 2025 – During Aero India 2025, Hyderabad-based AKSI Aerospace Group and FIXAR Global announced a US$10 million agreement for the licensed manufacturing of drones in India. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in strengthening India's self-reliance in drone technology, reducing dependence on foreign imports by leveraging AKSI’s indigenous development of critical drone subsystems, including navigation, propulsion, batteries, and composites.

Under this agreement, AKSI Aerospace Group will manufacture Shiv UAV, an innovative drone that combines aerodynamic lift with angular rotor-driven control and an endurance of 3 hours with payload capacity of 10 Kg, which can significantly enhance surveillance and security. "Unlike conventional UAVs, this drone operates without Magnetometer and uses AI powered computer vision for autonomous navigation Shiv is anti-jammable, offering a critical advantage in defence and security applications," said Pankaj Akula, Group MD, AKSI Aerospace Group.

"FIXAR Global is committed to expanding in high-growth markets, and India’s drone ecosystem presents immense potential. Our collaboration with AKSI Aerospace will help us scale production while ensuring quality and innovation in drone manufacturing," said Vasily Fainveits Lukashov, Founder & CEO, FIXAR Global. FIXAR, a leading software and aircraft design company, has a strong presence across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, offering patented drone technology known for its reliability and efficiency.

"This partnership highlights progress in India's vision to become a global powerhouse for drone manufacturing by developing key UAV subsystems in-house and creating new employment opportunities through exports," added Pankaj Akula.

With India's growing push for indigenous defence and aerospace solutions, this collaboration further solidifies AKSI’s role in advancing the Make in India and Made in India initiatives, positioning the country as a global hub for next-generation UAVs.
