Batik Air Malaysia has unveiled two new routes from Kuala Lumpur to Thailand, with Hat Yai and Krabi being the latest additions.
Starting on 13th September 2024, these daily flights will operate on a Boeing 737 aircraft, offering dual-class seating. Passengers can choose between Business and Economy, ensuring a comfortable and flexible travel experience.
This development marks a significant step in Batik Air’s mission to enhance travel options and connectivity across Southeast Asia’s most captivating destinations.
Hat Yai is renowned for its vibrant markets, rich culture, and delicious street food. Visitors can enjoy attractions such as Hat Yai Municipal Park and Kim Yong Market, and the city serves as a gateway to the beautiful beaches and natural wonders of southern Thailand.
Krabi, on the other hand, is a paradise for nature lovers and adventurers, boasting stunning limestone cliffs, clear waters, and idyllic islands like Railay Beach, Phi Phi Islands, and the Emerald Pool. Krabi offers both tranquillity and adventure, promising an unforgettable escape into nature.
"Last year alone, 4.62 million Malaysian tourists explored Thailand’s wonders, underlining the growing appeal of destinations like Hat Yai and Krabi. This expansion aligns with our commitment to meet rising demand and deliver exceptional travel experiences," said Batik Air's Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy.
He also highlighted the increasing number of Thai tourists visiting Malaysia, which exceeded 1.5 million last year, underscoring the strong tourism ties between the two countries and the need to expand the route network to better serve passengers.
According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Malaysia is currently the top source of visitors to Krabi, and Hat Yai welcomes approximately 2.5 million Malaysian visitors annually.
Batik Air remains committed to providing exceptional comfort and service, inviting travellers to experience these new destinations.
Tickets for the Hat Yai and Krabi routes are now available for booking through the airline's website.
