Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ low-cost carrier, has announced the introduction of direct flights from Manila to Chiang Mai, Thailand, further expanding its international network.
Starting 29 October 2024, Cebu Pacific will operate flights from Manila to Chiang Mai three times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Return flights from Chiang Mai to Manila will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Manila to Chiang Mai will be the airline’s fourth route in Thailand. The airline also offers flights from Manila and Cebu to Bangkok, with options to fly to either Suvarnabhumi Airport or Don Mueang International Airport.
“We share the anticipation of many Filipino travellers as we prepare to launch the only direct flights between Manila and Chiang Mai. This new route will provide our passengers the opportunity to explore Thailand beyond its urban attractions. Chiang Mai’s natural heritage, ancient temples, and laid-back atmosphere promise a tranquil escape for every Juan” said Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific President and Chief Commercial Officer.
To celebrate the route launch, from 1 to 6 August 2024, Cebu Pacific passengers can book flights from Manila to Chiang Mai for as low as PHP 1 one-way base fare, excluding fees and surcharges. The travel period for this promotion is from 29 October 2024 to 30 March 2025.
The new route will make Chiang Mai more accessible and affordable for Filipino travellers, who can now explore scenic trails in Doi Inthanon National Park, take leisurely strolls in Mae Rim District, or visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of Chiang Mai’s most revered temples.
Passengers can use their existing Travel Funds to book flights and add-ons. Cebu Pacific also offers various payment options, including credit or debit cards and e-wallets.
Currently, Cebu Pacific operates flights to 35 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
