وقعت ايدج، مجموعة التكنولوجيا المتقدمة لقطاع الدفاع وغيره في الإمارات، اليوم مذكرة تفاهم مع لوكهيد مارتن، الشركة الأميركية الرائدة في التكنولوجيا على مستوى العالم، لاستكشاف فرص الشراكة الصناعية في قطاع الطيران والدفاع بالإمارات.
وبموجب بنود الاتفاقية، ستعمل الشركتان الرائدتان في التكنولوجيا المتقدمة على تعزيز شراكتهما الاستراتيجية طويلة الأمد من خلال إنشاء فرق عمل مشتركة لرصد وتطوير برامج نقل المعرفة والتنمية الصناعية. وسيتم استعراض المشاريع ذات الصلة ببناء القدرات داخل البلاد، وإيجاد تقنيات مبتكرة وناشئة، والتوسع المستمر في مبادرات تطوير رأس المال البشري.
وقع الاتفاقية خالد البريكي، رئيس قطاع دعم المهام في ايدج، وريموند بيسيللي، نائب الرئيس لشؤون التمويل والعقود والتنمية الصناعية في لوكهيد مارتن، وذلك خلال معرض ومؤتمر الدفاع الدولي (آيدكس 2021)، الذي ينعقد حالياً في مركز أبوظبي الوطني للمعارض من 21 إلى 25 فبراير.
وقال خالد البريكي: “نهتم اهتماماً بالغاً بالتعاون المشترك في ايدج، ونسعى باستمرار إلى بناء إمكاناتنا لنكون قادرين على تزويد الجيل التالي من أصحاب المواهب ببيئةٍ تساعدهم على النماء والابتكار والتطور في قطاع التكنولوجيا المتقدمة. يمثل توقيع الاتفاقية شراكة استراتيجية طويلة الأمد لايدج ولوكهيد مارتن، ويفتح المجال أمام كلا الطرفين لتحقيق التنمية الاقتصادية والصناعية في قطاع الطيران والدفاع بدولة الإمارات”.
من جهة أخرى، علق ريموند بيسيللي بالقول: “كوننا شريكاً موثوقاً للإمارات على مدار أكثر من 40 عاماً، تلتزم لوكهيد مارتن بتطوير القدرات الوطنية ودعم أجندة تنمية رأس المال البشرية في البلاد. وتشكل مذكرة التفاهم هذه خطوة هامة ضمن المرحلة التالية من شراكتنا مع ايدج، كما نتطلع إلى استكشاف الفرص وتنفيذ مشاريع استراتيجية من شأنها أن تمثل إضافة قيّمة للقطاع والدولة بشكل عام”.
وتعمل الشركتان كذلك على تعزيز التعاون من خلال مشاركة المعرفة والخبرات، والاستفادة من خبرة لوكهيد مارتن الممتدة لعقود طويلة في البحث والتصميم والتطوير والتصنيع والتكامل والاستدامة فيما يتعلق بأنظمة التكنولوجيا المتقدمة ومنتجاتها وخدماتها.
