First Malaysia Airlines A330neo Rolls Out of Paint Shop

Our Bureau - : Jul 12, 2024 - : 8:47 pm

Malaysia Airlines’ inaugural A330neo has been unveiled in Toulouse, proudly displaying the airline’s distinctive Malaysia flag livery. This milestone marks the completion of the painting phase in the aircraft’s production.

Next in the production process, the aircraft will be fitted with Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines. Following this, it will undergo a series of performance tests in preparation for its maiden flight.

During this phase, all cabin systems will undergo meticulous testing, covering airflow and air conditioning, lighting, galleys, lavatories, seating, and in-flight entertainment systems.

Concurrently, Airbus will conduct advanced general performance tests to ensure the aircraft meets all specifications and is ready for delivery. Malaysia Airlines is scheduled to receive its first A330neo in the third quarter of this year.

The introduction of the A330neo is a crucial part of the Malaysia Aviation Group’s (MAG) fleet renewal strategy, which began in 2022 with the selection of 20 A330neo aircraft. These new aircraft will operate on routes across Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East.
