Havelsan is showcasing the ADVENT Combat Management System (CMS), which has been selected by Türkiye and a number of other countries to modernize their naval forces.
ADVENT is a comprehensive network-supported solution that enhances the operational effectiveness of naval forces. Developed in collaboration with the Turkish Naval Forces Research Center Command, the system transforms the individual capabilities of naval platforms into an integrated combat force as an advanced network-supported combat management system. This equips naval forces with the ability to respond quickly and effectively.
Key Cog in the Wheel
According to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, integrating ADVENT across all naval platforms will significantly enhance Türkiye's defence capabilities. "We are equipping all floating, diving, flying, and land-based platforms of our Naval Forces with the ADVENT Combat Management System," he said.
ADVENT plays a key role in Türkiye's Blue Homeland defence strategy that aims to protect the country’s sovereignty and interests at sea, said a Havelsan official. “With its real-time information-sharing and effective coordination capabilities, the Turkish Navy can maintain a stronger and more effective presence in the seas.”
Export Potential
In addition to Türkiye, navies from countries like Pakistan, Indonesia, Ukraine, and Nigeria have chosen ADVENT to enhance their deterrence and operational capabilities. The most recent international customer was Malaysia.
The company plans to increase the market share of ADVENT and expand into new markets. “Particularly in regions like Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa, ADVENT is positioned as an ideal solution for countries looking to modernize their naval forces,” the official added.
A Virtual Powerhouse
Among the unique features of ADVENT are its scalable architecture, which makes it capable of being deployed on a wide range of platforms, from patrol boats to frigates, and global compatibility. The system is developed in compliance with NATO and other international defence standards. Because of its modular structure, the system can be customized to meet the needs of different countries with its flexible design. The system is equipped with advanced cybersecurity measures to prioritize data security during operational processes.
ADVENT's technical architecture includes several critical features that set it apart globally, a company official said. Its advanced data integration, decision support mechanisms, and real-time situational awareness capabilities allow ADVENT to deliver superior performance in naval warfare. The system’s network-supported operational capabilities enable real-time data exchange among various platforms, such as ships, submarines, and aircraft, thereby maximizing situational awareness on the battlefield.
