KLM UK Engineering and BA CityFlyer Sign Line Maintenance Deal

KLM UK Engineering, a AFI KLM E&M subsidiary, has signed a  line maintenance contract with BA CityFlyer. The contracr will commence at Glasgow on the carrier’s Embraer fleet from April 2019.

KLM UK Engineering  is a leader in the regional jets and narrow body aircraft market, with expertise on the Boeing 737, Embraer 170/190, BAe146/Avro RJ, Fokker 70/100 & Airbus A320 Family.   Launched in March 2007, BA CityFlyer is a wholly owned subsidiary of British Airways operating a network of UK domestic and European services from London City airport.

“We are delighted that BA CityFlyer have extended their line maintenance contract with KLM UK Engineering,” said Wayne Easlea, Operations Director at KLM UK Engineering. “We have been providing line maintenance support for them at other locations during the last few years and look forward to developing this partnership further during 2019.”

“We are delighted to extend the current line maintenance support from KLM UK Engineering to cover Glasgow,” said Dave Cooper, Head of Engineering Operations at BA CityFlyer. The carrier has expanded its aircraft fleet and route network at London City Airport, where it is now the largest operator with the highest number of destinations and customers.

BA CityFlyer currently operates a fleet of twenty-one aircraft comprising 76-seat Embraer 170s and 98-seat Embraer 190SR. It also operates a variety of charter services from airports around the UK on behalf of other airlines, tour operators and private clients.
