الجيل الجديد من نظام ميسيس Miysis لتوجيه الأشعة تحت الحمراء المضادة (DIRCM) من ليوناردو، والذي يضم بالفعل خمسة مستخدمين نهائيين لحلف الناتو من بين عملائه، يحظى الآن باهتمام قوي من دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.
يعد نظام DIRCM المتطور ثنائي الرأس أحد أحدث أنظمة الحماية الذاتية للطائرات في السوق ، وهو يعمل بكامل طاقته منذ ما يزيد قليلاً عن عامين حتى الآن.
نحن نجري مناقشات مع جيش الإمارات العربية المتحدة ، وشركاء في المنطقة ، لتزويد Miysis DIRCMs للحماية الذاتية للطائرات. قال ديفيد جورلاي ، رئيس حملات DIRCM في ليوناردو ، لصحيفة ديلي نيوز: “نحن نعمل مع شركاء في الإمارات العربية المتحدة ، لاقتراح حلول Miysis للعديد من المنصات الرئيسية الموجودة في الدولة”.
تم دمج Miysis أيضًا بواسطة ليوناردو في ستة أنظمة مختلفة للتحذير من الصواريخ ، مما يسلط الضوء على سهولة تكامله مع منصات مختلفة.

يوصف Miysis بأنه أصغر وأخف وأقل نظام DIRCM متعدد الرؤوس يحتاج إلى طاقة معروض للتصدير.
يعمل نظام DIRCM من خلال تحديد موقع وتتبع صواريخ الأشعة تحت الحمراء من منظومات الدفاع الجوي المحمولة ثم تسليط ليزر عالي الطاقة على أجهزة استشعار الاستهداف لتوجيه الصاروخ بعيدًا عن الطائرة.
هذه المهمة معقدة بسبب حقيقة أنه عند مواجهة إطلاق نار قصير المدى من منظومات الدفاع الجوي المحمولة ، يكون لدى DIRCM أقل من 2.5 ثانية للعمل.
يتميز نظام Twin-Head Miysis DIRCM بمؤشر ليزر ومتعقبين مدمجين ، ووحدة إلكترونية ووحدة واجهة قمرة القيادة ، تزن 37.6 كجم فقط.
