Recaro Aircraft Seating is helpingto reduce the carbon footprint thanks to the sustainable design of its newest economy class seat. As the demand for air travel continues to grow, the aviation industry must produce innovative solutions that promote sustainability. In an effort to practice environmental and social responsibility, Recaro has invested in innovation and research to develop lighter seats with longer life cycles.
Designed with a clear focus on economic and ecologic efficiency, the SL3710 reflects Recaro’s dedication to creating premium quality products that are also sustainable. The SL3710 is 1.5 kilograms lighter than its predecessor, so more seats can be fitted for an aircraft, while still offering passengers an ergonomically-optimized seat with ample living space, even in small pitches. In addition, cabin weight reduction can save airlines a several thousand euros in fuel costs per year.
