On display at the ongoing IDEF 2021, defence exhibition in Istanbul is Aselsan's succesful range of Doruk and Dragoneye Electro-Optic (EO) sensors, which have proved popular in export markets as well.
Aselsan has delivered more than 1,000 Doruk and Dragoneye combat proven sensors to customers worldwide
The sensors are used for missions such as reconnaissance, border surveillance, situational awareness and fire support missions and combine advanced technologies into one compact and ergonomic design.
Both sensors contain a Cooled Thermal Camera, High Resolution Color Day Camera, Laser Range Finder, Laser Pointer, Digital Magnetic Compass and Global Positioning System components.
DORUK is a compact, rugged and lightweight Hand-Held EO device, which addresses the need from infantry, special forces and artillery target locators. It can also be configured on a tripod or in a remote control setting with an operator control unit and motorized pan-tilt unit as per the clients’ operational and tactical requirements.
Aselsan's Dragoneye is offered in two different configurations for use on a vehicle or stationary use. It is able to provide the user with capability of detecting and monitoring targets with high accuracy from even longer distances than DORUK is capable of, making great use for outposts and critical infrastructures.
